Rotating GRP tank covers

The largest AMi rotating grp cover at 34mThe rotating GRP covers are designed to be attached to and form a seal up against either side of the half bridge and driven by the half bridge.

The GRP cover includes a water seal formed by installing a GRP water trough around the periphery of the tank and attached to the inner face of the tank, with the GRP cover projecting down into the trough

It is designed with GRP structural beams radiating from the centre of the tank and built integral with the segment panel, each beam end will be fitted with a polyurethane solid wheel set tangential to roll around the top of the tank, a GMS wheel bracket will be designed to attach the wheel to the GRP cover segment.

The Circular centrally supported GRP tank cover

AMi Centrally supported GRP odour control coversA simple robust construction to the standard AMi design and suitable for circular tanks of 15m to 36m diameter.  The GRP covers are circular in plan and provides a low, horizontal finished profile, The GRP covers consist of individual glass reinforced plastic segments that span from the outer peripheral tank wall to the  central GMS support. Joints are sealed with strips of EPDM foam.

All GRP covers will be supplied with all necessary fixings and seals, fixings will be Stainless steel or GMS where fixing is onto existing GMS structures.

It is usual to utilise existing bridges to support the centre of the GRP covers. The centre will need to support approximately one third of the combined live and dead loads of the cover; allowance must be made for this in any bridge or centre design.  AMI Designs can design and supply central supports to interface with bridge

or gantry access, or supply an independent central support supported from the tank floor.

The Circular self supporting GRP tank cover

Self supporting GRP odour control coversA simple robust segmented construction suitable for circular tanks with a 12m to 26m diameter. The cover comprises individual glass reinforced plastic (GRP) segments bolted to the tank wall and a central GRP hub negating the need for additional central support. Joints are sealed with strips of EPDM foam. The cover will be supplied with all necessary fixings, fixings will be Stainless steel or GMS where fixing is onto existing GMS structures

The Beam and Infill GRP tank cover

Beam and infill GRP odour control coverA simple arrangement of GRP Sheets that are strong and rigid by way of their rib shaped profile and are supported by more substantial Hollow GRP Box beams typically spaced 2.0 to 3.0m apart. The cover is designed to sit directly on top of the tank walls and provides a low finished profile. Joints are sealed with strips of EPDM foam. The GRP cover will be supplied with all necessary fixings, fixings will be Stainless steel or GMS where fixing is onto existing GMS structures The GRP Beam and Infill Cover can be fitted with the full range of access hatches and ancillary equipment and can be designed to accommodate existing pipe work Typical standard design load capacity 0.75kN/m2

The Reinforced GRP tank Cover

Reinforced GRP odour control coversA modular flat panel GRP cover that is supported by galvanised steel or GRP beam system or suitable existing framework. Interlocking panels are available in various widths and various lengths and can be finished with a slip resistant surface.
This GRP cover is particularly suitable for  areas that require regular  pedestrian access or where a greater loading capacity is required such as channels and walkway areas; hand railing, where necessary, can be incorporated into the design
The design of the cover allows various sizes of access hatches and pipe work requirements to be incorporated. Typical standard design load capacity 1.5 to 5.0kN/m2
