Managing Director – Kevin Daykin Born and educated in the UK and graduating from Salford University.

Kevin is a highly experienced civil and structural engineer with more than 30 years of experience working in the construction industry. Starting out with the Royal Engineers, he became an acknowledged authority on bridge design and joined a development team at The Military Research Establishment at Christchurch.

He then left the service to apply his skills in the commercial environment, initially establishing his own construction company which he grew successfully for three years before selling it and moving on to complete a degree in civil engineering.

As a graduate engineer he took up various project management, design and structural engineering roles within leading companies including Costain, AMEY, AMEC, Mowlem and Bechtel. Before joining specialist control system company SLS Engineering in Runcorn UK where he contributed significantly to the company’s growth in turnover from £3.5 million to £ 12 million, before its merger with Tyco Plc.
 
Kevin is an accomplished Skydiver has two adult children and is a keen squash player Scuba Diver and Sailor

Director - Darren Bishop – Born and educated in Australia and a graduate of RMIT University Melbourne
Darren began his career specialising in aerodynamics, designing composite components and accessories for the transport industry, where he was responsible for the design and development of new products. Darren came to the UK where he found an opportunity to use his experience in the development, design, manufacture and installation of large GRP and Plastic composite structures. He also became involved in the implementation of quality assurance systems
Before co-founding Ami Designs Ltd Darren worked with several large civil engineering and process companies and consultancies including James Scott, Birse, Tilbury Douglas and Gleesons Christiani & Neilson. He is now responsible for managing the design team and supervising on-site installations as well as ensuring the maintenance of the company’s quality and environmental control systems.

Darren is an accomplished squash player,  Enjoys  world travel and Latin dancing
